Just after undergrad, I joined the Peace Corps and was posted in Ghana from 2000-2002. Not only did this experience, with its highs and lows, put me on a career path in international development, it also opened my eyes to the diversity of the continent. I have been lucky, since those first days in the Upper West Region of Ghana, to have had the opportunity to travel to (and live in) a variety of places throughout Africa. Some of those experiences are below.
